Consumer Panel – Privacy Policy

The Blue Yonder Research Privacy Policy applies to any and all personal information gathered from any and all panel applicants through the medium of the Blue Yonder Research website (termed as ‘the website’ below)

Blue Yonder Research will not pass your personal information to anyone outside of our business. Blue Yonder Research uses your information to assist in selecting appropriate panels for its research projects. At no point is your information used or sold for the purposes of marketing. Providing Blue Yonder Research with your information through the website means you have granted your permission for Blue Yonder research to use your personal data for the aforementioned purposes, unless you notify us otherwise.

Confidentiality

To all panellists participating in Product Testing and Consumer Research supplied or conducted by Blue Yonder Research Ltd, 4325 Park Approach, Thorpe Park, Leeds, LS15 (hereafter called 'BYR') or other parties on behalf of the BYR Group. During the research and development of new products, information and/or market place/prototype product samples of a confidential nature may be disclosed to you. You must agree to keep this information confidential.

Agreement

As a participant in Consumer Research, I understand I may receive access to products and information which are part of a confidential research and development programme of the client.

I fully understand that the work and information is confidential. I agree to keep it confidential and not to disclose or otherwise make it available to others, including share of product, and agree to return any test products if required to do so.

Informed Consent

You are asked to join a panel of volunteers, who participate in research and development programmes designed to investigate the performance of personal care, food, hair care, pet care, oral care, laundry and other household products. In order to join the panel, we ask you to complete the online questionnaire and read and agree to the confidentiality agreement as well as this informed consent sheet. All information obtained from participants is confidential.

Quantitative

As a panel member you will assess market place or prototype product samples in place of your normal product. Test products are deemed safe for consumer use and full directions for use are always supplied. However, you will be given a telephone number for appropriate advice in case of any allergic reaction or any other queries. For each test you will be asked to complete a questionnaire and/or diary. Panellist data will be averaged to assess the product's performance and typical usage patterns. On completion of each test, you will receive vouchers or money as a token of our appreciation for your help. Typically, you may be asked to assess market place or prototype product samples up to four times a year. You may be asked to record/create media to support research findings, once issued to BYR, this becomes the property of BYR for them to use in accordance with MRS (Market Research Society) guidelines. Qualitative

Occasionally, you may be invited to Blue Yonder Research or a research facility in Leeds to take part in small discussion groups on personal care, food, hair care, pet care, oral care, laundry and other household products, where filming and recording might take place as a standard procedure for this type of research video footage will be used and held by Blue Yonder Research. This material becomes the property of Blue Yonder Research. Your participation is entirely voluntary and you are free to withdraw from the study at any time without giving a reason. At the discretion of the Panel Co-ordinator you may be withdrawn from any tests or from the panel without your consent, if, for example, you fail to follow procedures of the test. Naturally, an explanation would be given to you at the time.

You may be asked to record/create media to support research findings, once issued to BYR, this becomes the property of BYR for them to use in accordance with MRS (Market Research Society) guidelines. The media can be shared with clients for trade purposes and also used for BYR demonstrations.
