I was asked to do a podcast recently, with a coaching company we have a relationship with, and the subject was Covid. I was ready to make my excuses, but they quickly followed up that the purpose was to celebrate the northern powerhouse and in particular the innovative approach taken in this region to get through the Covid pandemic.
As a proud Yorkshireman and ambassador for Leeds and particularly proud of how the research and insight community is thriving within Leeds, I agreed to do so, and I’m really pleased I did because we got to talk about the pandemic in a really positive way, sharing the scary moments and what we did to overcome them, and the changes to the business that will stay because they are better.
There are so many good things that have come from this horrendous period of time, and it’s important to reflect on them and decide what we can do better as the world gets back to normal.
We go through the whole period, from when then bomb dropped in March 2020, through to the start of 2021 where we have the green shoots of a better year, giving us all hope that life will be a bit easier this year.
Its 30 minutes, and quite candid – one thing we have learnt at Blue Yonder throughout all this is the importance of communication and transparency, and that falls out in this cast.
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I loved taking part!
