Driving Continuous Innovations at Blue Yonder

Transforming Efficiencies in Q4 2024

At Blue Yonder, innovation is at the heart of what we do. It’s not just about finding new ideas- it’s about embracing a mindset that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. This commitment keeps us moving forward, adapting to change, and delivering the best possible support to our clients.

The latest innovation review was a perfect reminder of how creativity thrives within our teams. These reviews provide a platform to highlight groundbreaking projects, share fresh ideas, and recognise the hard work that goes into driving progress across the company.

Adding a competitive twist makes it even more exciting, with over £300 in prizes on the line. But beyond the competition, it’s a chance to come together, inspire one another, and celebrate the innovative spirit that defines Blue Yonder.

We’re excited to shine a light on the brilliant ideas and deserving winners from this quarter’s review…

🏆Top Client Innovation & Best Presentation

The Sense:lab team has been recognised with not one but two awards this quarter, winning both Best Client Innovation and Best Presentation!

When challenged to fully repackage 2 kg competitor products- something they had never done before- the team adapted quickly. They leveraged their heat-sealing capabilities to develop a faster, cost-effective solution that outperformed their previous black tape method. The sleek, fully blinded pouches impressed the client, matching their high standards while being more efficient and professional.

To present the innovation, the whole team showed off their acting chops in a funny and informative video.

Innovation Manager, Hannah Over, is joined by Ellie Atack, Eva Owens and Dario Carvalho from the Sense:lab team to collect their awards!

🏆 Top Blue Yonder Innovation

The Oracle team has won the Top Internal Innovation Award for their transformative work in automating the survey tracker. Previously, the manual tracking process was time-consuming and inefficient, requiring hours of effort with no real-time updates. This significantly impacted team productivity.

By leveraging a Python-based API solution, the new tracker allows the team to monitor multiple surveys simultaneously, identify incomplete responses, and track progress in a structured format. The automation enables real-time tracking, ensuring quicker follow-ups and better project management.

Key improvements include:

  • Efficiency: The tracker generates instant updates, saving significant manual effort
  • Scalability: Ideal for large-scale projects with multiple surveys
  • Future enhancements: Plans to incorporate email notifications and quota tracking for better oversight

Leaders of the Innovation Review, Hannah Over & Luke Green, present Sarthak Dallakoti from the Oracle Team the award for Top Internal Innovation.
